On the occasion of Savitribai Phule’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tribute to the pioneering social reformer who dedicated her entire life to transforming society through service and education.
The Prime Minister said that Savitribai Phule was deeply committed to the principles of equality, justice, and compassion. She firmly believed that education is the most powerful instrument of social change and devoted her life to empowering people through knowledge and learning.
Highlighting her remarkable contributions, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that her tireless efforts in serving and caring for the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society remain a shining example of humanity and service. He added that her inclusive vision continues to guide the nation’s efforts towards building an empowered and equitable society.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister wrote:
“On Savitribai Phule’s birth anniversary, we remember a pioneering social reformer who devoted her life to bringing about social change through service and education. She was committed to the ideals of equality, justice, and compassion. She believed education to be the most powerful medium of social transformation and placed special emphasis on changing lives through knowledge and learning. Her contribution towards serving the underprivileged and weaker sections of society is truly commendable.”
In another post in Marathi, the Prime Minister reiterated her lifelong commitment to social equality, education, and the welfare of marginalized communities, acknowledging her enduring legacy in India’s social reform movement.
