Gandhinagar, Gujarat:
Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, in collaboration with the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS), the national academy of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), successfully concluded the four-week Induction Training Programme for the 6th batch of EPFO Enforcement Officers and Accounts Officers. The valedictory session was held on 26 December 2025, as informed by PIB Delhi.
The training programme, conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, commenced on 1 December 2025 and witnessed the participation of 62 Enforcement/Accounts Officers. A total of 81 academic sessions, amounting to 121.5 hours of intensive training, were delivered by 26 eminent resource persons, including senior and experienced EPFO officers.
The programme covered a wide range of crucial legal and administrative subjects such as Criminal Law, Civil Law, Evidence Act, Constitutional Provisions, Principles of Natural Justice, Quasi-Judicial Authorities, POSH Act, Cyber Law, Labour Laws, New Labour Codes, Contract Law, Procurement Management, Official Language, Rules of Interpretation, and Professional Ethics.
The valedictory session was graced by Shri Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I (RPFC-I) and Chief Learning Officer (CLO), PDUNASS, and Dr. Nitin Malik, Registrar, GNLU. On the final day, Shri Rizwan Uddin addressed the trainees in two detailed sessions, elaborating on the roles and responsibilities of principal employers towards contractual employees, with reference to landmark judgments such as HSWCL vs RPFC (Calcutta High Court) and FCI vs RPFC (Delhi High Court).
Earlier, the National Institute of Design (NID), Gandhinagar, organized a special interactive session for postgraduate students on “Motivation Through Goal Setting” on 26 December. The session emphasized discipline, willpower, attitude, belief, coordination, and consistency. It was moderated by Dr. Bhavin Kothari, while Shri Rizwan Uddin appreciated the active participation and seriousness shown by the students.
During the concluding session at GNLU, trainees shared their feedback in an open and informal environment. Course Coordinator Shri Hardik Parikh presented a comprehensive report of the 26-day training programme. Registrar Dr. Nitin Malik appreciated the efforts of the coordination team and commended the discipline and dedication of the trainee officers.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Rizwan Uddin emphasized citizen-centric service delivery, continuous learning, and the importance of law in governance. He encouraged officers to remain decisive, service-oriented, accountable, and collaborative while performing their duties in EPFO and to ensure maximum stakeholder benefit in the interest of justice and national service.
